2016 Catch Gallery
Many thanks for all your entries in 2016, arguably our strongest year for catches so far! Another excellent competition and we would have liked to give a prize to every single one of you. John Tyzack takes top spot this time, but ten other winners get their choice of a set of Turrall flies or exclusive Fly For Coarse T-shirt. Here’s our table of prize recipients; whether you are on it or not, thank you and well done for your fantastic fly angling feats!
- A cracking Chew pike of 27-4 for Andy Cheetham, tempted on a home-rolled bream design.
- John Tyzack had this stunning 12-08 barbel on a nymph.
- A kayak caught beauty of between 19 and 20 lbs for Paul Monaghan.

- GA Anderson tempted this amazing 6lb 3oz chub on a black streamer
- Mick Chater got a big shock when twitching a rubber legs daddy along a drop off. It is his second such capture.

- Jo Stephenson with a fine common carp which took a simple, hackled wet midge pattern.
- A cracking 80-04 barbel for Ashley Mould.
- Sean McSeveney got a big surprise on his pike trip in the form of this aggressive bream guestimated at close to ten pounds!
- Nick Thomas tempted this cracking 6lbs 4oz Taff chub on a black Radyr Nymph.
- David West Beale took this canal perch on his "Enterprising Worm" using a Tenkara outfit
- Abbie Fielding caught this cracking 18lb 12oz common on a deer hair mixer- reward for toughing it out on a wet afternoon. FIne fish!

- Alan Fielding had a real battle on his hands with this cracking carp just 8oz shy of twenty pounds.
- Fine golden coloration on this 13lbs common carp for Gert Roestoff.
- Another species for David West Beale's Tenkara tactics and "Enterprising Worm", this time a skimmer bream
- Jay Whisker took this canal chub on a sinking wet fly. Unfortunately he forgot his scales, but still puts this as as his biggest ever fly caught fish (around 3lbs we would guess? A cracker anyway).
- Neil Edgar with a fine canal pike.
- 13lbs 10oz near-leather carp for Vincent Ryan.
- Do common carp get any better looking than this double, caught by Vincent Ryan?
- A finely marked ten-pound reservoir pike for Paul Monaghan

- John Abbott caught this 3.8kg Rutland bream on a black buzzer. A slow but thumping fight on a 5 wt!
- Harry Abbott has been catching some cracking Rutland roach on the fly. This one took a Hare's Ear Emerger.
- A fine river perch of 1lb 10oz for Gert Roestoff
